Master's degree and Graduate Diploma in Computational Chemistry via the internet

The project team was funded in 1995 for the project "Learning modules for Computational Chemistry over AARNET" by CAUT - the Committee for the Advancement of University Teaching.

The new degree will be offered by staff at four universities:-

Students will be able to chose the university from which they will receive the degree, but the Graduate Diploma is currently only offered (from 1998) by the Northern Territory University. The selected university for the Masters would normally be the university where the full-time project was carried out.

The Master's degree has has been approved by:-

To help prospective students to see the kind of materials we have developed, we have constructed a demonstration module. This is just part of a module on empirical and semi-empirical quantum chemistry, and it involves running some simple programs on our server via web page forms interfaces. We hope you find it interesting and we look forward to receiving your comments on it.
